This situation includes former Romanian citizens and their descendants (children, grandchildren and great grandchildren) who were born in the historical provinces of Romania (Bessarabia, Bucovina, Cadrilater).

The file is submitted in person by the petitioner to the National Authority for Citizenship by making a prior appointment or to the Romanian consular mission.

The petitioner’s minor children for whom Romanian citizenship is applied for will be mentioned on the parent’s application, their presence at the filing of the application with the parent being required, according to the latest regulations.
