Renunciation of the Romanian citizenship
We represent our clients, Romanian citizens who wish to renounce their Romanian citizenship, without their presence at the counter and without incurring additional costs for travel to Romania or to Romanian diplomatic missions.
Thus, on the basis of a legal assistance contract and a special power of attorney given by the client, we take care of all the formalities and bureaucracy in obtaining all the necessary documents to form the file and submit it to the National Authority for Citizenship (A.N.C.).
The advantages of the Cabinet’s clients are:
- we represent you wherever necessary, for all formalities;
- the procedure we follow is much faster in obtaining all the documents from the state institutions and authorities;
- the appointment for the submission of the already formed file is immediate;
- costs are reduced (for example, the consular fee for renouncing the Romanian citizenship is 600 euro or equivalent if you submit the renouncement file in front of the consular offices, compared to 600 lei – 125 euro – when we represent you in front of the National Citizenship Authority;
- the certificate of renunciation of Romanian citizenship is issued within 1-3 working days after the submission of the file.
The final certificate of renunciation of Romanian citizenship is issued after a minimum period of 3 months from the date of registration of the file, and until it is obtained, our law firm requests monthly information from the Citizenship Authority on the status of the file and the urgency of its solution, the procedure being included in the fee.
In addition, if you wish to have the certificate of renunciation and the final certificate issued by the National Authority for Citizenship apostilled with the Hague Apostille or super-legalized, translated, legalized and the apostille applied on the translation, we can represent you in this respect as well in order to facilitate your steps in completing the procedure.
